On Nov. 10, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, WatchTime will host a new watch collectors’ event in the Miami Design District, the upscale shopping area north of downtown Miami. The event, WatchTime Miami at Design District, will offer attendees a chance to mingle with VIP guests, including watch tastemaker Anish Bhatt of Watch Anish; attend a cocktail reception with fellow watch lovers in the district’s Palm Court; visit a bevy of brand boutiques to try on watches, including many that are new to the U.S. market; and chat with brand representatives and WatchTime staffers, including Editor-at-Large Joe Thompson.
The participating brands include Audemars Piguet, A. Lange & Söhne, Vacheron Constantin, Piaget, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, TAG Heuer, Hublot, Parmigiani and Seiko. Many of the brands will stage special events such as watchmaker demonstrations and wine or whiskey tastings.
“With so many watch brands taking real estate in this area, WatchTime began visiting the Design District two years ago to check it out,” says Sara Orlando, publisher of WatchTime. “We have since had small events that laid the groundwork for the idea to have a larger event in Miami to bring together the boutiques and area consumers. The goal of such activations is to bring awareness to this new destination and to bring an expanded audience of consumers into these boutiques to hopefully make purchases or learn more about the brands and their timepieces.
